My Favorite Excerpt
Zee was exhausted when she tumbled into bed. It seemed like no time at all had passed when she was woken up by a man’s hand over her mouth, and she found herself abruptly flipped onto her stomach, the guy’s knee in her back, pinning her down.
She felt his warm breath tickle her ear as he leaned down to whisper. “You have some explaining to do, Ze’Eva.”
“Jack?!” She tried to ask, her voice muffled against his thick hand pressed against her mouth. It came out sounding more like “Yack?”
He took his knee off her back and let her sit up. “What the hell are you doing?” She snapped as she pushed her hair out of her face.
“Did you know there is a hefty contract out on you?” Jack asked her. “Ten large.”
“Who…?”
“I don’t know yet.”
“Wait a minute, how do you know there’s a…?”
“Because I took the contract, Zee.”
“I don’t get it.”
“I’m a mercenary, Zee. It’s what I do. Contracts.”
“Oh. I didn’t know you were…”
“Well, I guess there is a lot neither of us knew. As I said, we need to talk.”
Thank you!

Just for fun, Jack Bradley from Forging Monsters has agreed to sit down for an interview and answer some questions to let you all get to know him better.
*******************************************************
Thank you for joining us, Jack. I’ll ask a few questions to start, and then we’ll let the readers jump in with questions.
Q1. How would you react if you saw a friend who owes you money spending frivolously?
A1. (Laughs) This is why I don’t loan people money, but if this did happen, I can guarantee that would pay me back then and there. I’d make sure of it, and probably leave them a few bruises to remember me by.
Me: Right, it sounds like you won’t put up with anyone’s crap.
Jack: You got that right.
Me: I feel sorry for that hypothetical person! Let’s move on to less violent territory! LOL
This is something I have been dying to askA@ since we don’t get your POV in Forging Monsters PT 1….
Q2. What went through your mind when you first saw She-Wolf, and you knew that everything Zee told you was true?
A2. Oh man, that was the craziest thing that’s ever happened to me! At first I thought Zee was nuts, but when I saw that, I started to wonder if I wasn’t the one going crazy! When she changed…
Me: Wait! Don’t spoil that scene for people who haven’t read it yet!
Jack: Oh, right, right. I will say this, it certainly changed my view, on things I thought I knew.
Me: I’m sure it did! Zee has that effect on people. Let’s talk about her…
Q3. What was your first impression of Zee when you first met her?
A3: I thought she has a total fox; I met her at my buddy’s bachelor party, we had it at The Jade Kat, where Zee dances. She was hard to get to know, I asked her out a few times before she agreed. Our first date was at Luna Park, where I impressed her with my carnie game skills.
Me: I remember. I was impressed by that too; I suck at carnie games. Well, if it’s alright with you, Jack, I want to turn this over to the readers, I’m sure they have questions for you, I hope they do anyway.
Jack: I’m ready. Fire away, readers.
